After necessary interrogation, he was sent to jail on Friday. The arrested youth has been identified as Pawan Kumar Singh, son of the late Umashankar Singh, a resident of Purana Bhojpur village. Along with sending him to jail, police have begun investigating his criminal record.

In this regard, Naya Bhojpur Police Station in-charge Chandan Kumar stated that a tip-off was received that a young man was roaming near Bhojpur Dhaba Family Restaurant with illegal weapons and was planning to carry out a major incident. Based on this information, a team was formed and an immediate raid was conducted. Seeing the police, he tried to flee, but was chased and apprehended. During the search, a pistol and four cartridges were recovered from him.

The Station in-charge stated that based on his interrogation, the police have begun further action. He added that in view of the assembly elections, the police are on high alert and the Model Code of Conduct is being strictly enforced in the police station area every day.
