BHABHUA----------------------A review of the Bihar Assembly Elections by Shyam Sundar Pandey, Senior Correspondent for the Durgawati Block area of Kaimur, All India News District.
The nomination process for the Bihar Assembly elections has concluded, but the caste-based ticket distribution by parties and voter bias persists in Bihar. The period of disgruntled party leaders, lamenting and leveling serious allegations, and party-hopping is over. The race between leaders and the gullible public, the noise of their helicopters, the threat of muscle power, and the vicious cycle of disgruntled leaders trying to defeat their own parties has begun. There is no voice to rescue the people trapped in discriminatory laws and practices like reservation. Leaders who offend religious sentiments have also entered the fray. Most parties are only talking about corruption, while assessing the status of their former candidates and ministers will reveal who is involved in corruption and how far the number of corrupt leaders has decreased. Particularly in Kaimur district, the arbitrary allocation of seats by leaders, the nomination of disgruntled leaders in the Assembly, and the decision by some leaders to switch parties to contest elections have also become topics of discussion. Now it remains to be seen how much impact this will have on the elections. Since independence, all governments have failed to develop high-tech universities, the IT sector, research centers, economic industries, industrial zones, and a roadmap to prevent labor migration, yet there is no change in tone. The public, intoxicated by caste sentiments, is still trapped in the caste-based web of leaders, possessing neither conscience nor concern for future generations. Now it remains to be seen on what basis the people of Bihar will decide the Bihar elections. There is a saying that if you plant an acacia tree, how will you get mangoes?
