A joint meeting of the National Executive Committee and the Bhojpur District Executive Committee of the Senior Citizens Welfare Association of India was held today at the Mamta Auditorium in Arrah under the joint chairmanship of National President Dhirendra Prasad Singh and District President Harendra Singh. Several important issues concerning senior citizens were discussed in detail, and important resolutions were passed.

ARA----------------------------A joint meeting of the National Executive Committee and the Bhojpur District Executive Committee of the Senior Citizens Welfare Association of India was held today at the Mamta Auditorium in Arrah under the joint chairmanship of National President Dhirendra Prasad Singh and District President Harendra Singh. Several important issues concerning senior citizens were discussed in detail, and important resolutions were passed.
The key resolutions passed at the meeting included the reinstatement of the railway ticket concession available to senior citizens before the COVID-19 pandemic, the establishment of "Bharatiya Janashan Ghar" (Indian Public Health Centres) for senior citizens across the country on the lines of Bharatiya Jana Aushadhi (Indian Public Health Medicine), extending the benefits of the Ayushman Yojana (Healthcare Scheme) to all persons above 60 years of age, the reorganization of all block-level committees in Bhojpur district, the re-publication of the organization's souvenir, and the expansion of the organization to other districts of Bihar. The organization's patron, Dr. Kamla Kumari, former Principal of Women's College, Ara, and the organization's National General Secretary, Professor Dr. Diwakar Pandey (Head of Department, VKSU), and Patron Raghav Prasad Singh, emphasized the demand for the reinstatement of the senior citizen rail concession as recommended by the Railway Standing Committee. Several senior members addressed the meeting, including Professor Dr. Renu Mishra, Professor Amrendra Kumar, Ravindranath Singh, Sushil Rai, Anant Prasad Srivastava, Triloki Singh, Satyanarayan Singh, Surendra Singh, Dr. Umesh Rai, Jagdeep Narayan Ojha, and Dinesh Prasad Singh.
