ARA----------------------------A serious incident has come to light in Ranisagar Panchayat of Bihiya block, under the Shahpur assembly constituency in Bhojpur district, where the son of the Panchayat head's representative, Kafrun Khan, is accused of assaulting a young man from the same village, Rahul Kumar. Outraged by the incident, the villagers united and approached Shahpur MLA Rakesh Ojha to seek justice.
The villagers told the MLA that Rahul Kumar, a resident of Ranisagar Panchayat, was severely beaten by the son of the Panchayat head's representative over a minor issue. Rahul Kumar was seriously injured in the incident. The villagers allege that the accused youth and his brothers have a history of bullying and intimidation, creating an atmosphere of fear in the village.
The villagers, who came to file a complaint, also gave MLA Rakesh Ojha a detailed account of previous incidents. They said that the accused family, due to their influence and thuggery, frequently assaults villagers over trivial matters.
Recalling a past incident, the villagers mentioned that the four-lane highway was blocked after members of the same family beat up the son of a Paswan shopkeeper, but due to political connections and pressure, that case was also suppressed, which further emboldened them. The villagers expressed apprehension that if no action is taken this time, such incidents will continue to occur in the future, and they will be forced to leave the village.
After hearing the villagers' ordeal, Shahpur MLA Rakesh Ojha took the matter seriously. He immediately called the Shahpur police station in-charge and instructed him to take strict action in the case. MLA Ojha clearly told the station in-charge, "No one is above the law, not even the bullies. Take immediate action and bring the culprits to justice." He also instructed him to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
Following MLA Rakesh Ojha's intervention, the villagers have renewed hope for justice. This is considered an important step towards maintaining law and order and ensuring justice for the common people in Ranisagar village.
