BUSINESS FEDERATION DELEGATION MET FAMILY OF RAPE VICTIM, DEMANDED SECURITY AND QUICK JUSTICE

BUXAR----------------------------A delegation of the Business Federation, Bihar, visited a village under Kesath block of Buxar district on Friday, January 23, 2026, and met with the family of the rape victim to gather detailed information about the incident. The delegation assessed the situation of the victim's family and assured them of all possible support. The delegation included Krishna Keshari, Rajnath Ram, Bablu Gupta, Raju Chandravanshi, Ramesh Gupta, Rinku Qureshi, Anil Kumar Gupta, Dinesh Kumar Ram, and Krishna Ranjan Gupta from the Business Federation, Bihar. Representatives from Bhojpur, Buxar, and Rohtas districts were also present. Former Dumraon MLA Ajit Kushwaha of CPI (ML) was also present on the occasion.

The victim's family stated that on the morning of January 17, around 10 am, a male and female student from the village were returning home by bicycle after attending coaching classes in Kadsar. At that time, near a culvert about one kilometer west of the Ara-Mohania highway, Umakant Dubey (approximately 19-20 years old) and his three accomplices abducted both of them. The boy was held captive, while the girl was taken on a motorcycle to an empty hut east of the Kadsar canal and raped. The victim's family is extremely poor and earns a living through daily wage labor.

The delegation demanded that the Buxar district administration provide adequate security, financial compensation, and swift justice to the victim's family. They also alleged that Umakant Dubey is forming a criminal gang in the district and that several cases are registered against him in various police stations. The Business Federation has demanded that the police administration take immediate and strict action against the gang's activities.
