SNATCHING INCIDENT IN TRAIN RISES

BUXAR--------------------------Devotees traveling to Buxar for the Ganga bath on Mauni Amavasya were attacked on the Fatua-Buxar passenger train (53261). The incident occurred last night between Baruna station and Buxar station on the Danapur-Buxar railway line.

Suraj Thakur, alias Mangru Thakur (father Laxman Thakur), a resident of Binod Matiyani village under the Kuchaykot police station area of ​​Gopalganj district, was injured in the incident.

According to the victims, two criminals on the train engaged in a scuffle with other pilgrims, including female passengers, during which Suraj Thakur was injured. Following the incident, a case has been registered at the Government Railway Police (GRP) station in Buxar based on the victims' statements.

As part of the investigation, Railway DSP Kanchan Raj and Danapur GRP Circle Inspector Sudhir Kumar arrived at the scene and assessed the situation. GRP Station Head Vikas Kumar stated that the incident occurred last night and that two criminals were involved. Female passengers were also assaulted, resulting in one passenger being injured.

GRP Inspector Sudhir Kumar stated that a thorough investigation has been initiated. Some suspects are being questioned and identification is underway based on CCTV footage. Police are also conducting raids and the entire case will be solved soon.
