ARA-----------------------------In protest against the murder of Bihari youth Pandav Kumar in Delhi and the brutal lathi-charge (baton charge) inflicted upon TRE-4 teacher aspirants in Patna, the Jan Suraj Party took to the streets of Arrah on Saturday to stage a massive demonstration. Party workers expressed their outrage by organizing an ‘Akrosh March’ (March of Outrage) against the government's policies and the rising crimes committed against Biharis.
This ‘Akrosh March’ commenced with the garlanding of the statue of Jayaprakash Narayan, the pioneer of social movements. Passing by the statue of the architect of the Constitution, Babasaheb Ambedkar, the procession concluded at the statue site of Veer Kunwar Singh located at Ramna Maidan. During the march, workers raised thunderous slogans such as "Give Justice to the Bihari Youth," "Stop Atrocities Against Students," and "A Government That Rules with Bullets and Batons Will Not Be Tolerated."
Addressing the demonstration, Jan Suraj District President Rajiv Singh stated that Pandav Kumar—a native of Khagaria—was murdered in broad daylight in Delhi, and it is unfortunate that the perpetrators have not yet been arrested. Meanwhile, State Spokesperson Padma Ojha and State Vice-President of the Women's Wing, Dr. Shailja Singh, launched a scathing attack on Union Ministers and local leaders. They questioned why those leaders who constantly speak of "Bihar First" and "Bihari Pride" remain silent today regarding the murder of Pandav.
Condemning the lathi-charge on teacher aspirants in Patna, District Spokesperson Rupendra Mishra and Shahabad Media In-charge Sudhir Mishra asserted that demanding one's rights and employment is not a crime. The manner in which batons were rained down upon the aspirants exposes the inhumane face of the government. They issued a stern warning to both the Central and State governments to stop playing with the future of the youth; otherwise, this movement would intensify further.
