Today, Bihar has a government of good governance, and in a government of good governance, the hand that plants the red flag will be severed from the body. These remarks were made by BJP leader and prominent Buxar businessman Pradeep Rai during a press conference on Wednesday.

During the press conference, Pradeep Kumar Rai, Chairman of Vaishnavi Group, gave a strong reaction to the allegations leveled by former Dumraon MLA Ajit Kushwaha. He clearly stated that all the allegations against him are completely baseless, misleading, and factually incorrect, and their sole purpose is to mislead the public and gain political advantage. Pradeep Rai said that he possesses all the legal documents, government records, and judicial orders related to the land, which prove that the entire transaction and possession are within the bounds of the law.

He was responding through the press conference to the allegations of land grabbing leveled against him by former Dumraon MLA Dr. Ajit Kumar Singh.

Presenting the entire sequence of events related to the land with facts, Pradeep Rai explained that on May 25, 2011, through a duly registered Power of Attorney, Sudama Upadhyay, Lalan Upadhyay, Vijay Kumar Upadhyay, and their mother Shivpujani Devi had given the right to sell their ancestral account and plot of land to Akhilesh Rai. This power of attorney is duly registered at the Registry Office, Buxar,

clearly mentioning the total area of ​​the land, account number, and plot number. All these details are recorded in government records, which anyone can verify.

Pradeep Rai stated that based on the power of attorney, a deed of sale was duly executed by Akhilesh Rai in favor of Pradeep Rai on June 7, 2011. After this deed, the mutation process was completed, and the transfer of ownership was entirely legal. Subsequently, another deed of sale was executed in Pradeep Rai's name on November 4, 2016, which was also duly mutated according to the rules. Thus, the adjustment of the total area has been done entirely according to the rules. Pradeep Rai clearly stated that there is no scope for any irregularity, fraud, or deception in this entire process. Pradeep Rai also gave a strong response to the allegations regarding signatures and thumb impressions. He said that these allegations are completely baseless. If anyone has any doubts, they can get a forensic examination done. The signatures and thumb impressions of all the concerned persons are duly preserved in the documents and records.

He further stated that several judicial and administrative orders related to this land are also in his favor. An order has been passed by the competent authority in Mutation Appeal Case No. 114/2021-22. Similarly, an order is also available in Revision Case No. 143/2022-23 (ADM Court). The order of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Buxar, dated January 31, 2025, under Section 144, is also on record. In addition, in T.S. No. 390/2021 (Civil Judge Senior Division), the court clarified that there is no basis for stopping the construction work, as possession of the disputed land already exists. Pradeep Rai also clarified that in Complaint Case No. 331/2023 (UMFC Buxar), only summonses have been issued for the appearance of the parties. Neither a conviction nor any punitive order has been passed against him. He completely rejected the allegations made by Rajnikant Upadhyay. He stated that Title Suit No. 382/2020 is pending in the Civil Court, Buxar, in which a total of 13 people are parties. In this case, neither the hearing has been completed, nor has any testimony been given, nor has any final order been issued. Therefore, holding anyone guilty at this stage is a violation of the judicial process.

Finally, Pradeep Rai said that all the allegations made by the former MLA and some other individuals are politically motivated. He appealed to the media and the general public not to believe any misleading propaganda and to verify the truth based on facts and documents.
