BUXAR------------------------The entire area was thrown into a state of panic on Wednesday following reports of the alleged abduction of a one-and-a-half-year-old child in Aamsari village of Murar police station area. Upon receiving the information, the Murar police swung into action and continued the search for about six hours. Late at night, around 11 pm, the police and the family breathed a sigh of relief after the child was found safe.
According to the information received, the one-and-a-half-year-old son of Pankaj Kumar Singh, a resident of Aamsari village, suddenly went missing from his home on Wednesday afternoon. The family searched extensively in the surrounding area, but when the child could not be found, the worried family members reached the Murar police station and expressed fears of abduction. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a police team led by Station House Officer Neha Kumari immediately launched an investigation.
During the investigation, based on information received from the villagers, the police learned that the child had been seen going towards the haystack outside the village with Mantu Kumar Singh, son of the late Mahesh Singh. Acting on this information, the police team reached the spot, where the child was found lying safely in the haystack, while Mantu Kumar Singh was found lying unconscious nearby in a drunken state.
The police's thorough investigation made it clear that Mantu Kumar Singh did not intend to abduct the child. It was reported that he was very fond of the child and had taken him along to play. Due to being intoxicated, he fell asleep there, and the child was left near the straw, which led to the whole incident being a misunderstanding.
After the incident was confirmed, the victim's family refused to file any police complaint against the accused. Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya stated that the child had been lying on the straw in the cold for a considerable time, so as a precaution, he is undergoing a medical check-up to ensure his health is thoroughly examined. The child is currently completely safe and has been handed over to his family.
