RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

PATNA------------------------The Patna Police have solved the mystery behind a sensational murder that took place in Mahdampur village, within the jurisdiction of the Bihta police station, in just a few days. In connection with this case, the police have arrested the deceased's wife and his biological brother. Detailed information regarding this operation was shared by the City Superintendent of Police (West), Mr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, during a press conference.

On May 4, 2026, an individual was shot and critically injured in Mahdampur village, Bihta. The injured victim was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Given the sensitive nature of the case, the Patna Police constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The constituted SIT took swift action based on technical analysis, human intelligence, and forensic evidence. The facts that emerged during the investigation were shocking. The police have arrested the two main accused involved in the murder: the deceased's wife and the deceased's brother.

Following preliminary investigations and the interrogation of the accused, the police revealed that the primary motive behind this murder was the illicit relationship between the two accused (the brother-in-law and the sister-in-law). Driven by this dispute and their relationship, the duo conspired together to commit the murder and subsequently executed the crime.

Acting on the information provided by the accused, the police have also recovered the weapons used in the murder: one country-made pistol, one magazine, and one live cartridge.

During the press conference, City Superintendent of Police (West), Bhanu Pratap Singh, stated that the police gathered forensic evidence with such precision that the accused were left with no avenue to escape justice. Currently, the process of remanding both accused to judicial custody is being completed. This swift action by the Patna Police has sent a strong message to the criminal fraternity that no conspiracy can remain hidden from the eyes of the law.
