ARA--------------------------Ashok Kumar, the Charge Officer—who also serves as the Block Development Officer—has issued show-cause notices to ten supervisors deputed for the ongoing house listing and enumeration work during the first phase of Census 2027, citing negligence in their duties. Furthermore, he has withheld one day's salary for each of the concerned supervisors. In the show-cause notice issued in this regard, the Charge Officer stated that a meeting of all deputed supervisors was convened on May 6, 2026, to review the house listing operations. The supervisors in question failed to attend the said meeting. Deeming this lapse as negligence in a task of paramount importance—such as the Census—one day's salary of the concerned supervisors has been withheld.
