BUXAR--------------------------Woman Constable Panchratna Kumari (Batch 14-15), serving in the Nalanda district force of the Bihar Police, has brought pride to the entire country and Bihar by achieving a historic feat in the international sports arena. In the South Asia Combat Wrestling Championship 2026 held in the historic city of Lumbini, Nepal, she won the gold medal in the 75 kg weight category with a spectacular performance.

Women wrestlers from eight South Asian countries participated in this prestigious international competition. During the tough and exciting matches, Panchratna Kumari showcased her technical skills, physical prowess, discipline, and indomitable courage, defeating all her opponents. She secured the gold medal with a decisive victory in the final match.

At the closing ceremony, the Honorable Sports Minister of the Government of Nepal, Santosh Pandey, presented Panchratna Kumari with the gold medal and wished her a bright future. Sports officials, coaches, and players from various countries were also present on this occasion.

Reacting to this achievement, former District Councilor Dr. Manoj Kumar Yadav said that Panchratna Kumari has proved through her hard work, dedication, and discipline that daughters from rural areas can also hoist the country's flag at the international level. This success is a matter of pride not only for the Bihar Police but for the entire state of Bihar and will inspire future generations to excel in the fields of sports and national service.

Meanwhile, the Chief Councilor of Chausa Nagar Panchayat, Mrs. Kiran Devi, congratulated her, saying that winning a gold medal on the international stage after coming from a humble background is highly commendable. Panchratna Kumari has proved that daughters are not lagging behind in any field. Her success will provide new inspiration to the daughters of the district and the state.

It is noteworthy that Panchratna Kumari is a resident of village Tiara, Post Manoharapur, Police Station Rajpur, District Buxar (Bihar). Her father, Shri Radheshyam Prasad, is a laborer by profession, while her mother, Mrs. Saraswati Baudh, is a homemaker. Despite limited resources, she has achieved this international milestone through hard work and continuous practice. On his historic achievement, Professor Ramesh Chandra Srivastava, convenor of the Intellectual Development Forum, along with Ramashish Kushwaha, ward councilor Chandan Chaudhary, Vinod Kumar Yadav, Jitendra Yadav, Shamim Sai, Bhuvar Rain, Bharat Pandey, Vijay Ram, Dilbahar Chaudhary, and many other dignitaries extended their congratulations and best wishes.
