DELHI---------------------------The demand for jobs related to artificial intelligence is rapidly increasing in India. According to a report, AI skills jobs registered an 11.7% increase in September 2025. This clearly shows that companies are continuously showing increasing interest in AI technology.

The demand for artificial intelligence-based jobs is continuously increasing in India. According to a report, jobs requiring AI skills registered an 11.7 percent increase in September 2025, compared to 8.2 percent in the same period last year. Three months ago, this growth rate was 10.6 percent. This clearly indicates that companies are continuously showing increasing interest in AI technology.

According to the report, AI-related jobs are no longer limited to the technology sector. They are gradually expanding to other sectors as well. The demand for AI has been highest in the analytics and data sector, where 39 percent of jobs required AI skills. This was followed by software development with 23 percent, the insurance field with 18 percent, and scientific research with 17 percent of jobs mentioning AI-related skills.

The demand for AI skills is also rapidly increasing in the engineering sector. AI usage was observed in 17 percent of industrial engineering jobs, 11 percent of mechanical engineering jobs, and 9.2 percent of electrical engineering jobs. However, the report states that there was a 0.8 percent decline in total job postings in September. This is the sixth consecutive month that a decline in recruitment opportunities has been recorded. Despite this, the country's organized employment sector remains stable, and there are ample opportunities for qualified candidates.

According to the report, India is among the leading countries in Asia in terms of AI jobs. Besides India, Singapore is the only other country where the percentage of demand for AI-related jobs is so high. This makes it clear that Indian employers are now taking future technologies, such as artificial intelligence, very seriously and are incorporating them into their business operations.
