The state government is going to set up 5 dairy plants to strengthen the rural economy by promoting agriculture and other related activities. These plants will be set up in Darbhanga, Wazirganj (Gaya), Gopalganj, Dairy on Son (Rohtas) and Sitamarhi. Apart from two lakh liters per day in Darbhanga and Wazirganj (Gaya), 1 lakh liters of milk will be processed per day in Gopalganj and 30-30 metric tons of milk powder will be produced per day in Dairy on Son (Rohtas) and Sitamarhi.

PATNA------------------------The state government is going to set up 5 dairy plants to strengthen the rural economy by promoting agriculture and other related activities. These plants will be set up in Darbhanga, Wazirganj (Gaya), Gopalganj, Dairy on Son (Rohtas) and Sitamarhi. Apart from two lakh liters per day in Darbhanga and Wazirganj (Gaya), 1 lakh liters of milk will be processed per day in Gopalganj and 30-30 metric tons of milk powder will be produced per day in Dairy on Son (Rohtas) and Sitamarhi.
This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. 41 agendas were approved in the cabinet meeting. Information about all the decisions taken in this was given by Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Secretariat Department Dr. S Siddharth in a press conference held in Information Bhawan. He said that all the dairy plants are being set up under SIDBI Cluster Development Fund (SCDF).
Dr. Siddharth said that Rs 546 crore has been approved for the renovation of the primary and secondary or higher secondary schools of the state. There is a plan to get the renovation work of primary schools done in this. In this, a provision of Rs 270 crore has been made from the plan head at the rate of Rs 40 thousand per room for electrification in 67 thousand 500 class rooms and other rooms. It has been targeted to complete it by the financial year 2026-2. Similarly, a provision of Rs 276 crore has been made to get these works done in secondary or higher secondary schools. This will provide infrastructure to the students enrolled in schools.
The cabinet has approved the formation of Bihar State Safai Karamchari Commission for the first time in the state. With this, this commission will work to connect the people of the deprived sections of the society involved in cleaning work to the mainstream and for their social and economic development as well as protection of their rights and interests. This commission will also work for the welfare, rehabilitation, social upliftment and monitoring of these workers. Apart from this, approval has been given for the creation of 6 posts in Bihar Youth Commission.
The Additional Chief Secretary said that in relation to the announcement made by the Chief Minister in the Pragati Yatra, arrangements have been made to supply drinking water to 41 wards of 7 panchayats in the hilly and inaccessible areas of Adhaura block of Kaimur district, which is facing shortage of groundwater. Under this, Rs 293 crore 94 lakh has been released for the construction of a multi-village water supply scheme of 7.85 MLD capacity using groundwater through tube wells on the banks of the Son River, as well as for maintenance for 7 years.
Administrative approval of Rs 675 crore 50 lakh 70 thousand has been given for the construction of Lohia Path Chakra on Nehru Path in the capital Patna. This will solve the problem of traffic jam. Apart from this, under the Central Road Fund, permission has been given to spend Rs 696 crore 26 lakh 71 thousand crore for the construction of a flyover from Gandhi Chowk of Chapra to Nagarpalika Chowk in Saran district. This will provide great relief to Chapra city from traffic jam. At the same time, in Patna (NH-98), approval has been given for the construction of a two-lane road and a 4-lane elevated lane from AIIMS to the Patna end of the Digha rail-cum-road bridge, as well as for providing additional connectivity from the Digha rail-cum-road bridge to Ashoka Rajpath, at a cost of Rs 1368 crore 46 lakh.
In a cabinet meeting, the state government has approved Rs 165 crore 57 lakh 16 thousand for the acquisition of 50.50 acres of land for the Punauradham temple in Sitamarhi district. Many essential infrastructure facilities will be developed here.
Amendments to the rules of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 have been approved. Under this, if a person who is a victim of a road accident files a case in his accident area, then no fee will be charged for it.
Registration offices have been opened in Raniganj and Bhargama zones of Araria district. Now the people of these zones will not have to go to Forbesganj, 24 to 28 km away.
Rs 320 crore 10 lakh has been released to provide pure drinking water in 318 wards of 63 villages of 23 panchayats of Chhatapur block of Supaul district due to falling groundwater level and iron affected.
Rs 115 crore 90 thousand has been released for utensils, furniture and other equipment at 1 lakh 15 thousand 9 Anganwadi centers of the state.
In the financial year 2025-26, a provision has been made to give 50 percent grant to the committees and 50 percent amount to complete the work for construction of warehouses of 200, 500 and 1 thousand metric tons capacity for 2 lakh 49 100 metric tons capacity. For this, a provision of Rs 180 crore 19 lakh 77 thousand has been made.
Rs 1100 crore has been given for other works including electrification in the State Sports Academy cum International Cricket Stadium located in Rajgir. – Under the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Rules, investment of private company M/s Mizuki Power Products Private Limited has been approved for setting up a lead battery production unit in Maranga, Purnia. Also, private investment of Rs 36 crore 1 lakh has been approved. This will provide employment to 200 people.
Amendment has been made in Bihar Patrakar Samman Pension Scheme Rules-2019. The pension amount has been increased from Rs 6 thousand per month to Rs 15 thousand per month. Similarly, after the death of the beneficiary, the scheme of giving an amount of Rs 3 thousand per month as pension to his dependent spouse for life has been amended and it has been made Rs 10 thousand per month. This benefit will be given to them, Who is not employed in any media organisation or government service.
