POLICE BUSTED A GANG OF FRAUD AND ARRESTED TWO MEMBERS
Police in the capital Patna has busted a big gang of fraudsters who used to charge huge amounts from candidates in the name of getting them passed in competitive examinations and getting them a job. Jakkanpur police station, taking action on the basis of secret information, has arrested two active members of the gang from a hotel in Mithapur area.

PATNA----------------------------Police in the capital Patna has busted a big gang of fraudsters who used to charge huge amounts from candidates in the name of getting them passed in competitive examinations and getting them a job. Jakkanpur police station, taking action on the basis of secret information, has arrested two active members of the gang from a hotel in Mithapur area.
Fraud in the name of job: The arrested accused have been identified as Uday Kumar Jha and Ajay Kumar Sinha. Both of them were committing fraud in the name of getting jobs for a long time. During interrogation, Ajay told that all the documents he has are of Uday Kumar Jha. Police have also recovered many blank cheques and original certificates of candidates from the spot.
Used to do setting for 12 to 50 lakhs: Investigation has revealed that this gang has cheated crores of people in the name of getting them passed or setting up competitive exams including BPSC. Different rates were fixed for each exam, which ranged from 12 lakh to 50 lakh rupees. Half the amount was taken by the accused in advance and the rest was recovered after the exam results.
How they used to make candidates their victims: The thugs used to first win the trust of the candidates and then deposit their original certificates and blank cheques along with the advance payment so that they could not run away. In this way, the hard earned money of many students went into the lap of this gang.
"Uday Kumar Jha is a resident of Samastipur, while Ajay Kumar Sinha is a resident of Bhagwanpur in Nalanda district. Ajay was a teacher earlier, but was dismissed in 2015 in cases of cheating and since then he is involved in this crime." - Parichay Kumar, City SP East
Highest amount in the name of setting in BPSC: City SP East, Parichay Kumar told in a press conference that this gang used to charge a huge amount of Rs 50 to 60 lakh in the name of setting in a prestigious exam like BPSC. In the investigation so far, it has been confirmed that many candidates have been victims, who had fallen prey to this gang.
Cheating cases are registered earlier too: Ajay Kumar Singh has previously been booked in Gandhi Maidan police station of Patna and Parwalpur police station of Nalanda. At the same time, Uday Kumar Jha is believed to be the mastermind of this entire racket who used to operate the network.
Police action continues: At present, both the accused have been sent to judicial custody and the police is interrogating them and extracting information about other associates. The police is investigating the entire network of the gang and has appealed to the people not to fall into the trap of any broker in the name of getting them passed in any competitive exam or getting a job.
