BUXAR POLICE SEIZED TRUCK WITH 393 CARTON OF IMLF, ONE ARRESTED

BUXAR-----------------------------Industrial Police Station police seized a truck near the Golambar Ganga Bridge, uncovering a major liquor smuggling network. Acting on a tip-off, the truck recovered 393 cases of foreign liquor, totaling 3,529 liters. The liquor was concealed under husk and was intended to be consumed in Bihar.

Station House Officer Sanjay Kumar stated that the truck, a 14-wheeler with a Punjab registration number, was headed to a district in Bihar via NH-922 after crossing the Ganga Bridge. Acting immediately on the information, the truck was stopped. During the investigation, Sadar SDPO Gaurav Pandey also arrived at the scene and ordered strict action against the smugglers.

The arrested driver has been identified as Sanjay Kumar (father: Suraj Bhan), a resident of Epimajra, Gohana Police Station, Sonipat District, Haryana. He was also found with ₹8,000 in cash, a mobile phone, and a GPS.

Sadar SDPO Gaurav Pandey stated that the plan was to load the liquor from Haryana and supply it in Bihar. Three other smugglers have been identified in this case, and a named FIR has been filed against them. This police action is being considered a major success in the ongoing campaign against liquor smuggling in Bihar.
