BHABHUA----------------------------A shocking incident has come to light in the special voter revision campaign conducted by the Election Commission before the Bihar Assembly elections. 44-year-old Mudrika Sharma of Pipariya village in Mohania assembly constituency of Kaimur district was declared dead from the voter list.
Mudrika Sharma's voter ID number is BLJ 5973 714, which is active since 2005. He told that a few days ago the BLO form reached home and he and his wife filled the form correctly and submitted the necessary documents. But when the draft of the voter list was published, his friends told that his name was removed from the voter list by declaring him dead. Mudrika Sharma said, "Now I don't understand what to do." On this matter, Mohania SDM Anirudh Pandey said that those whose name has been removed wrongly can contact the BLO and submit the papers, and their name will be re-added in the upcoming election.
The opposition has been constantly raising allegations of irregularities and vote theft in the voter revision process in Bihar. This matter has also raised questions on the Election Commission's investigation process in the preparations for the Bihar assembly elections.
