BUXAR--------------------------In Renka village of Belhari Panchayat, under the Sikraul police station area, thieves carried out a series of robberies in three houses, including that of the village headman, posing a serious challenge to the police administration. The incident took place on Sunday midnight. The victims came to know about the incident on Monday morning.

In Renka village of Belhari Panchayat, under the Sikraul police station area, thieves carried out a series of robberies in three houses, including that of the village headman, posing a serious challenge to the police administration. The incident took place on Sunday midnight. The victims came to know about the incident on Monday morning. During this time, the thieves made off with approximately seven lakh rupees in cash and gold and silver jewelry worth 80 lakh rupees. The robbery was carried out in a very high-tech manner, and a laser cutter was used to cut the locks on the cupboards and boxes, so that no sound would be made. Besides using high-tech methods, the thieves, as a precaution, locked the doors of the houses they robbed from the outside, so that no one could come to help from outside if the robbery was discovered.

According to the villagers, the incident occurred when all the people in the houses were in deep sleep. No family member in any of the houses got any inkling of the robbery. The family members came to know about the robbery in their houses on Monday morning. The robberies reportedly took place at the houses of Belhari Panchayat headman Jaya Devi (wife of Ravi Upadhyay), Bipin Bihari Upadhyay, and Vijay Shankar Upadhyay alias Tuntun Upadhyay. Upon receiving the information, the police have started investigating the matter. It is believed that the thieves probably entered the houses through the roof. This robbery has created an atmosphere of fear throughout the village. The wife of one of the victim homeowners, Moti Rani, said that her three sons, Vinay Upadhyay, Mithilesh Upadhyay, and Santosh Upadhyay, live and work outside the village. At home, the three sons had separate rooms where their valuable jewelry was kept. One of the sons was home on Sunday. On Sunday night, Moti Rani went to sleep on the upper floor of the house with her granddaughter.

During this time, thieves entered the house through the roof. They first locked the doors of the other rooms where the other family members were sleeping from the outside, so that no one could raise an alarm. After that, the thieves unlocked or broke into the three rooms and stole gold and silver jewelry worth approximately lakhs of rupees. On Monday morning, the victim was informed about the theft by her son. Similarly, the thieves also committed thefts in the house of the village head and another house. The victim homeowner and village head representative, Ravi Upadhyay, said that

the unknown thieves have made off with jewelry and cash worth approximately 80 lakh rupees from the three houses combined. Meanwhile, the victim families have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the unknown thieves. SDPO Polast Kumar said that the forensic team and the DIU team, along with the dog squad, are investigating the case.

After the series of thefts in Renka village of Belhari Panchayat, a climate of fear has prevailed among the villagers. The incident of theft in three houses in a single night in a village like Renka raises many questions. After this incident, the villagers are now forced to stay awake at night due to fear of thieves. The villagers say that their village is quite far from the main road and is in a secluded area. The houses where the thefts took place are at the far end of the village. In such a situation, the villagers are unable to understand how the thieves who successfully carried out the theft in three houses, including the village head's house, came and went.

The villagers say that the only way to enter this village is from the eastern end, while the village head's house is on the western end of the village, and further west is the Baddhar area and some distance away is Kanjia village. In this situation, if the thieves had come through the main road, they would have had to cross the entire village, and during that time, some villager would surely have spotted them. Experts say that it's also unlikely that the thieves came through the fields, committed the theft, and then simply left. Someone must have scouted the area for them, or the thieves must have had prior knowledge of the entire route.
