Near Nazirganj village on Mathila Road, police arrested one of the two youths who were attempting to snatch a mobile phone from a Scorpio, while his accomplice escaped with the vehicle. According to the information received, on Thursday evening, an auto-rickshaw driver was going from Koransarai Chowk towards Mathila. Suddenly, the auto's headlight malfunctioned, after which the driver stopped on the roadside and started fixing it using the light of his mobile phone.
Taking advantage of the situation, two youths in a Scorpio stopped there and snatched the driver's mobile phone. After that, both of them started running away quickly. As soon as the police team patrolling the area got wind of the incident, they acted promptly and chased the culprits, apprehending one of them. The arrested accused has been identified as Pankaj Singh, a resident of Chakora village in the Vasudeva police station area. However, his accomplice managed to escape in the Scorpio, taking advantage of the darkness.
