BUXAR---------------------------An explosion occurred suddenly on Wednesday evening at an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit in Jhagru Lohar's lane under Ward No. 24 of Dumraon town. A young man was seriously injured in the accident. He was immediately taken to Dumraon Sub-Divisional Hospital, where after primary treatment, doctors referred him to a higher center due to his critical condition. The family then took the injured man to Patna for better treatment. The incident is said to have occurred around 3:45 PM on Wednesday. The injured person has been identified as 40-year-old Mukhtar Rangreza, son of Sultan Rangreza.

Upon receiving information about the explosion, Dumraon Station House Officer Sanjay Kumar Sinha reached the spot with the police force and started the investigation. An FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team has also been called to the spot to examine the explosive materials. However, after the incident, the injured person was taken away by his family for treatment, so his statement could not be recorded immediately. Meanwhile, locals say that the explosion occurred suddenly during the firecracker manufacturing process.

According to local residents, firecracker manufacturing was a family business for Mukhtar Rangreza, who had been making and selling various types of firecrackers from his home for over four decades. Surprisingly, the police were unaware of this illegal business operating for such a long time.

The area where the incident occurred is a densely populated residential area and an old settlement. The operation of such a dangerous illegal activity in this area raises serious concerns and many questions.

In this regard, Dumraon Station House Officer Sanjay Kumar Sinha confirmed the incident and said that a thorough investigation is underway. He said that an FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team has been called in and further action will be taken based on the investigation report.
