On this occasion, idols of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning, were installed in urban and rural areas, and prayers were offered with proper rituals. A large crowd of devotees was seen at the puja pandals from the morning, and a special enthusiasm was visible among the youth and students.
Educational institutions were bustling with activity due to Saraswati Puja. Idols of Goddess Saraswati were installed and worshipped in schools, colleges, and coaching centers. Cultural programs were also organized in many institutions, immersing the entire area in a devotional atmosphere. A large crowd of devotees was also seen at local temples on Basant Panchami. At the temple of Maa Peetan Devi, the presiding deity of Piro town, devotees started arriving from early morning. On the occasion of Basant Panchami, a traditional Mahaviri flag procession was organized in the villages surrounding Piro town. A large number of devotees and young people participated enthusiastically in the procession. Keeping in mind law and order in the town area, the Mahaviri flag procession was formally and peacefully conducted under administrative permission. The local administration was fully vigilant to maintain peace and order. Police forces were deployed at various intersections in the town. Administrative officers themselves were patrolling and keeping a close watch on the situation, ensuring that the festival was celebrated in a completely peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.
The celebration of Basant Panchami showcased religious faith, cultural traditions, and social harmony throughout the Piro sub-division.
