BODY OF AN ELDERLY WOMAN FOUND

BHABHUA-----------------------------A stir was created in the area on Friday morning when the body of an elderly woman was found near Durgawati railway station. Passersby spotted the woman lying unconscious near the station and informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and initiated an investigation. The deceased was later identified as Shanti Devi (aged approximately 65), wife of Rammurat Yadav and a resident of Pipariya village under the Mohania police station area.

Family members who arrived at the scene informed the police that the woman had been suffering from mental health issues for a long time. They submitted a written application stating that they did not wish for a post-mortem examination to be conducted and requested that the body be handed over for the last rites.

Investigating Officer SI Sanjay Yadav stated that after completing the necessary legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for the final rites. The police have concluded proceedings in the matter in accordance with the rules.
