Kundan Seth and Muskan Khatun sustained serious injuries in the incident. With the help of locals, both were immediately rushed to the hospital; after receiving first aid, doctors referred them to a higher medical center for advanced treatment.
Following the incident, the victims' families alleged that they had been hit by a bullet or shrapnel. However, preliminary police investigations suggest the incident was caused by a firecracker. Speculation regarding the incident is rife in the area.
Upon receiving the information, administrative officials swung into action. The SDM and SDPO visited the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured. Officials have ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.
The police state that every aspect of the incident is being examined. Clarity on whether it was a shooting incident or an accident involving a firecrackers will only emerge after the investigation report is received. Currently, peace prevails in the area.
