Today, on the occasion of the launch of the "Clean Village, Clean Climate" campaign, a significant event was organized by the District Water and Sanitation Committee, Bhojpur, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Development Commissioner.

ARA---------------------------Today, on the occasion of the launch of the "Clean Village, Clean Climate" campaign, a significant event was organized by the District Water and Sanitation Committee, Bhojpur, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Development Commissioner.
The program was inaugurated jointly by the Deputy Development Commissioner, the District Coordinator (Sanitation), the District Project Officer, the District Ganga Committee (Bhojpur), the District Consultant (CB & IEC and SLWM), and the District Coordinator (ITC) by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
In his address, the Deputy Development Commissioner stated that sanitation is not merely a campaign, but a social responsibility rooted in public participation. He emphasized the active involvement of all concerned departments, Panchayat representatives, and ordinary citizens in promoting sanitation and environmental conservation in rural areas.
During the meeting, detailed information regarding the schedule of activities for the successful implementation of the "Clean Village, Clean Climate" campaign was provided. Discussions were held regarding the organization of various activities at the village level under the campaign, including sanitation awareness programs, *Shramdaan* (voluntary labor), waste segregation, plastic waste management, tree plantation, and other environment-related initiatives.
Furthermore, the participants were provided with an orientation regarding the various provisions of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026. Detailed emphasis was placed on the effective implementation of these rules, waste segregation at the source, the scientific disposal of organic and inorganic waste, and the pivotal role of the Gram Panchayats.
The meeting concluded with a call to transform the campaign into a mass movement, to sensitize the rural community regarding sanitation, and to undertake coordinated efforts toward creating a clean and green environment.
The event was attended by officials of the District Water and Sanitation Committee, representatives from concerned departments, sanitation workers, and other distinguished participants. All attendees pledged their collective cooperation to successfully translate the objectives of the campaign into tangible reality on the ground.
