ARA---------------------------Under 'Operation Muskan' (Operation Smile), the Bhojpur Police have recovered 90 stolen and lost mobile phones. On Monday afternoon, the mobile phones were handed over to their rightful owners at the Superintendent of Police's office. Superintendent of Police Raj personally handed over the devices to all the owners. The joy of the people upon receiving mobile phones that had been lost for months was truly a sight to behold. The estimated value of the recovered mobile phones is approximately nine lakh rupees.

Under Operation Muskan, the Bhojpur Police have so far this year recovered and returned 148 mobile phones worth a total of 30 lakh rupees. Superintendent of Police Raj stated that, within the framework of Operation Muskan, efforts are being made to recover stolen or lost mobile phones—and to apprehend the culprits involved—based on scientific investigations conducted in light of complaints (Sanhas) registered at various police stations and outposts. To facilitate this, a special team has been constituted in collaboration with the District Intelligence Unit (DIU).

In this latest initiative, 90 lost mobile phones were recovered and returned to their original owners. The Superintendent of Police, addressing those present at the venue, urged everyone to exercise caution and emphasized the importance of promptly filing a police complaint in the event of a mobile phone being stolen or lost. This ensures that the police's special team can track and recover the device, thereby preventing criminals from misusing it.

He further noted that, under Operation Muskan, mobile phones recovered in the previous year were also successfully returned to their rightful owners. Through Operation Muskan—by returning lost mobile phones to citizens—the police appear to be largely successful in winning the trust of the general public.
