BUXAR--------------------------The body of 60-year-old Sitaram Thakur, a resident of Chhatpur village under the Dhansoi Police Station area, was recovered on Thursday from the fields near Maniya village. The deceased's father has been identified as the late Moni Thakur.

Upon receiving information about the discovery of the body, the Dhansoi police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigations have not yet revealed a clear cause of death. The police are examining every aspect of the case and have begun questioning local residents. News of the incident caused a stir in the area. Appu Kumar, a candidate for the post of Mukhiya (village head) of Matki Panchayat, also arrived at the scene and demanded an impartial investigation into the incident, as well as strict action against the guilty.

Appu Kumar stated that such an incident in the village has created an atmosphere of fear among the residents. He urged the administration to solve the case quickly and ensure justice for the victim's family.

Meanwhile, Dhansoi Station House Officer (SHO) Vikas Kumar stated that the exact cause of death would only be ascertained after the post-mortem report is received. The police are currently investigating the matter.
