BUXAR--------------------Police have identified the young woman who died after being struck by a truck on Thursday evening within the Industrial Police Station area. The deceased has been identified as Tanya Kumari, daughter of the late Mantu Chaubey, a resident of Madhopur village under the Natwar Police Station area of ​​Rohtas district.

According to the police, Tanya Kumari was currently living with her family in the Civil Lines neighborhood of Buxar and pursuing her studies. On Thursday evening, she was walking along the four-lane highway near the United Petrol Pump in the Industrial Police Station area. During this time, an unidentified truck ran her over, causing her death on the spot.

Following the accident, the police took possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. The police are now working to determine the reason for her visit to the Industrial Police Station area. Investigators are looking into various aspects, such as whether she was alone at the time of the accident or accompanied by someone else.

Confirming the incident, Industrial Police Station House Officer (SHO) Suresh Singh stated that a police team is actively working to identify the truck involved and arrest its driver. He added that traffic flow on the four-lane highway has remained smooth since the incident, and there are no issues regarding law and order.

The police are investigating the matter by examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras, analyzing the deceased's mobile phone, and gathering other relevant facts.
