BHABHUA---------------------------A sensation has gripped the area following the discovery of the beheaded body of a youth who had been missing for two days in Akhini village, under the Nuaon police station limits. The youth's torso was recovered from a village pond, while his head was found near a canal about 300 meters away. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene, conducted an inquest, sent the body to Bhabua Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem, and initiated an investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Ravindra Kumar, son of the late Lakshman Ram, a resident of Akhini village. Police personnel from the local station arrived at the scene immediately upon receiving the news. Kaimur SP Shikhar Chaudhary also visited the site to take stock of the situation. SP Shikhar Chaudhary stated that the case is being investigated from multiple angles and that the perpetrators would be arrested soon; the police have already commenced their probe.

The deceased's brother, Barrister Kumar, recounted that on the evening of August 3, Ravindra returned home from his shop in Nuaon, ate dinner, and then took the children to their separate dwelling unit to sleep. Later that night, he left home on foot. When his wife called him at 10 PM, he said he was near the pond and would return in ten minutes. His wife went to sleep assuming he had returned home; however, when she called again at 3 AM, his mobile phone was switched off. Extensive searches were conducted, but he could not be found, leading to a formal complaint being lodged at the police station.

Today, locals raised an alarm after spotting the body floating in the pond; upon retrieval, it was discovered to be headless. His head was found 300 meters away from the pond, causing a stir in the area. News of the beheaded body spread rapidly through the village, drawing a large crowd of locals to the scene. According to sources, the murder is suspected to be linked to a love affair. The police are currently engaged in further proceedings.
