BUXAR-----------------------------A heart-wrenching road accident that occurred on the Buxar-Patna four-lane highway (NH-922) has plunged the entire region into mourning. Around 8:00 AM, near Kuawan village within the Brahampur police station limits, a speeding truck violently rear-ended two youths riding a motorcycle, resulting in their tragic, on-the-spot deaths.
The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Munna Paswan and 20-year-old Ganesh Paswan, residents of Lalu Dera village in the Karanamepur police station area of Bhojpur district. The two were biological brothers. It is reported that they were on their way to Brahampur to distribute invitation cards for their sister Neha's wedding. Wedding preparations were in full swing within the family; the *Tilak* ceremony was scheduled for May 3rd, and the wedding itself for May 7th. However, this accident instantly transformed the joyous atmosphere into one of deep mourning.
Following the incident, intense outrage spread among the local villagers. Residents allege that the nearby JK Super Cement Factory is responsible for the chaotic, round-the-clock parking of heavy trucks on the four-lane highway, a situation that leads to frequent accidents. Citing this as a clear instance of negligence on the part of both the factory management and the local administration, the villagers have demanded strict action against those responsible.
The irate crowd blocked the road, causing long queues of vehicles to form on the Buxar-Patna four-lane highway and bringing traffic to a complete standstill. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, police personnel from the Brahampur station—along with forces from four neighboring police stations—rushed to the scene.
Block Development Officer (BDO) Sonu Kumar, Circle Inspector Omprakash, and Station House Officer (SHO) Brajesh Kumar attempted to pacify the villagers. After nearly three hours of strenuous efforts, the blockade was finally lifted, and traffic flow was restored.
Meanwhile, upon receiving news of the accident, the relatives of the deceased arrived at the scene. The family members are inconsolable in their grief. The very home where wedding *Shehnai* music was set to play in just a few days is now shrouded in mourning. The death of two young sons in the presence of their parents has shaken the entire village.
