ARA---------------------------Pension amounts were transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of beneficiaries under six social security pension schemes during a state-level event organized via video conferencing, presided over by the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Samrat Choudhary.

The event was broadcast live from the auditorium at the Bhojpur District Headquarters in Ara. During the program, pension funds at the rate of ₹1,100 per beneficiary were transferred via DBT to the bank accounts of 259,428 beneficiaries covered under social security pension schemes in Bhojpur district.

Addressing the beneficiaries present on the occasion, the District Magistrate of Bhojpur provided detailed information about the six major social security pension schemes run by the state government. He sought feedback from the beneficiaries regarding the schemes and urged them to inform eligible individuals in their vicinity—who are not yet receiving pension benefits—about these programs.

He stated that the increase in the pension amount would make daily living easier for elderly, widowed, and differently-abled beneficiaries, while further strengthening their social and economic security.

A large number of pension-receiving beneficiaries and concerned officials—including the Assistant Collector, District Welfare Officer, Assistant Director (Social Security Cell), and District Programme Officer (ICDS)—were present at the event.
