BUXAR-------------------------A case of gang-rape involving a minor girl has come to light in the Dumraon police station area of the district. Acting swiftly on a complaint filed by the victim's mother, the police arrested both named accused. According to the complaint lodged at the police station on Monday, the incident occurred on July 17.
The victim's mother stated that two youths from Ariyanv lured her minor daughter to Dumraon. There, both youths raped her one after the other. Upon learning of the incident, the family immediately informed the police. Recognizing the sensitivity of the matter, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shubham Arya took a firm stance.
He constituted a special police team led by Dumraon SDPO Polast Kumar and ordered the immediate arrest of the accused. Acting swiftly, the team raided potential hideouts. The police arrested Md. [Name incomplete], son of Lalbabu Bhat, a resident of Ariyanv... Sumit Gupta, the son of Irfan and Kripashankar Gupta, was arrested.
Following interrogation of both individuals, preparations are underway to send them to jail as part of further legal proceedings. The arrest team included Dumraon SDPO Polast Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Sub-Inspectors Priyanka Kumari, Archana Kumari, and Babita Kumari, as well as the DIU team and police personnel from the Dumraon police station.
