SASARAM-----------------------A detailed discussion on industrial matters and 'Ease of Doing Business' was held at the DRDA auditorium in the Collectorate, presided over by District Magistrate Deepak Kumar Mishra. Entrepreneurs associated with various schemes—including Startups, SIPB, PMEGP, PMFME, and the Chief Minister's Entrepreneur Scheme—participated in the meeting. Attendees included the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC), officials from all banks, Chamber of Commerce representatives Bablu Kashyap and Puneet Agarwal, the DDM (NABARD), and members of the committee overseeing industrial affairs. The District Magistrate introduced himself to each entrepreneur individually, listened closely to their concerns, and issued necessary directives to the concerned officials for their resolution. The entrepreneurs primarily highlighted issues such as a lack of capital, electricity supply problems, and the absence of network connectivity in the BIADA industrial area. The District Magistrate directed the Lead District Manager (LDM) of Rohtas to ensure that capital is made available to entrepreneurs through the CGTMSE scheme, which facilitates loans without the need for collateral security. It was noted that the Union Budget includes a provision for loan assistance of up to ₹10 crore under the CGTMSE scheme. Regarding the issues of electricity supply and network connectivity in the BIADA area, the District Magistrate assured the entrepreneurs that these problems would be resolved promptly. Some entrepreneurs also apprised the District Magistrate of challenges related to marketing. The entrepreneurs stated that Amazon charges a high margin for marketing the unit's products. The District Magistrate... It was suggested that a WhatsApp group be created where entrepreneurs could share their issues with one another and find solutions. During the meeting, the General Manager informed the attendees that applications for setting up nine new industrial units had been received via the State Investment Promotion Board portal this month; the first stage of approval for all these units has been granted, and the files have been forwarded to the department for further action. Some entrepreneurs also raised concerns regarding law and order, particularly in the Kochas and Dinara areas—issues that the District Magistrate took very seriously. Finally, the District Magistrate assured all entrepreneurs that the district administration would resolve their grievances and work towards establishing a new identity for Rohtas district in the industrial sector.
