SASARAM----------------------Sudama Singh, the victim of a tragic road accident that occurred in the Bikramganj police station area on April 16, 2026, passed away while undergoing treatment after battling for his life for nearly two months. Following his death, the matter is no longer confined to a mere road accident; serious questions have arisen regarding the police's conduct and allegations of a financial deal.

According to reports, Sudama Singh, a resident of Dhava village, was returning home on April 16 when a Safari vehicle (registration number BR-24 AN-1100) struck him violently, leaving him critically injured. A case (Case No. 276/26) was registered at the Bikramganj police station regarding the incident. He succumbed to his injuries after approximately 60 days of treatment.

Although more than 60 days have passed since the incident, the victim's family alleges that the named accused remains at large. The failure to arrest the accused has sparked outrage among locals and raised questions about the police's functioning.

Manoj Kumar, the brother of the deceased, has leveled serious allegations against the police. He claims that a financial transaction allegedly took place in connection with the case, preventing effective action from being taken against the accused.

Manoj Kumar alleges that an attempt was made to "manage" the case through an alleged transaction of approximately ₹5 lakh, facilitated by a well-known local middleman named Guddu Bhatt. He asserts that the failure to arrest the prime accused, even so long after the incident, lends further credence to these allegations.

Following Sudama Singh's death, the matter has become a topic of widespread discussion in the entire area. The family members of the deceased and local villagers have demanded that Rohtas Superintendent of Police (SP) Roshan Kumar order an impartial investigation into the entire matter, conduct an independent probe into the allegations regarding a financial transaction, and ensure the immediate arrest of the named accused. The family asserts that a fair investigation will bring the truth to light and enable appropriate legal action against the guilty parties.
