ARA-------------------------------An explosion of singleness—where is society heading in this blind race? Just think about it. The time has come to stop sugarcoating the truth.
* The very same women's liberation that the world celebrates is gradually devouring families, relationships, and social balance. An international survey indicates that in the coming years, up to 45% of young women may choose to stay unmarried. At first glance, this appears to be progress, but in reality, it is a time bomb for the future.
1. Career, money, and solitude—what kind of progress is this? Today’s daughters are becoming District Magistrates, doctors, engineers, CAs, teachers, and entrepreneurs. That is excellent—truly magnificent. But is a career the entirety of life?
2. Just think about it. Money cannot be a companion. A high position won't hold your hand in old age. Mobile phones and laptops do not converse with you in your twilight years. Yet, society remains indifferent to this reality; everyone is intent on running the race.
3. Families are crumbling—is anyone even noticing? 4. The number of unmarried men and women is rising, the population is declining, and the 'loneliness industry'—comprising counselors, therapists, and antidepressants—is flourishing. Yet, we claim everything is fine; we call it modernity. This is not modernity; it is a slow death for the family, society, and human relationships.
5. A particularly alarming situation arises today when parents seek a match, but the young woman says, "Not right now." That "not right now" gradually turns into "never," and by the time the realization dawns, medical reports reveal the consequences: hormonal issues, inability to conceive, mental stress, and loneliness. But who is to blame then? No one, because the decision was made in the name of freedom.
6. Why do the 'white-collar' members of society remain silent? Because they fear being labeled anti-modern for speaking the truth. Yet, the truth is that if marriages do not take place during the optimal age of 21–25, society will soon become as desolate as a cold December night.
7. According to one estimate, by the time India becomes a developed nation in 2047, it will have become a nation of the elderly. The very India that Modi ji describes as a nation of youth will see an unexpected decline in its youth population over the next 20 years.
8. A final thought: true progress is not that which leaves us isolated. If our future is destined to be one of singleness, loneliness, and emotional detachment, it is a warning bell for society, not a cause for pride. It is certainly worth reflecting upon.
