The city and surrounding villages were filled with the spirit of Holi from Wednesday morning. People greeted each other with colors and abir-gulal (colourful powder) and wished each other a happy occasion. The color play, which began in the morning, continued with great enthusiasm until the afternoon. Particular enthusiasm was evident among the youth on the occasion. Groups of young people were seen swaying to the beats of DJ music and singing Holi songs. Young people, drenched in color and gulal, were seen immersed in joy. In many places, Holi was also played with mud, giving a clear glimpse of traditional Holi. Children also displayed tremendous enthusiasm for Holi. Small children took to the streets with water guns and colors and had a blast with their friends. The colorful gulal (colourful powder) filled the entire atmosphere with vibrant colors.
In the afternoon, people gathered in groups to visit each other's homes, applying abir-gulal (coloured powder) and embracing each other to wish each other a happy Holi. During this time, a unique example of mutual harmony and brotherhood was witnessed in society.
