BUXAR--------------------------Ajit Kushwaha, the former MLA of Dumraon, has raised serious questions regarding the government's functioning while taking a dig at the current state of affairs in both the state and the nation. Highlighting the stark contradiction between the actual availability of fuel and the claims made by the administration, he has targeted the system for its failure.
Ajit Kushwaha stated that, on one hand, the ground reality is that petrol pump operators are openly declaring a lack of fuel—a fact that is now even being formally communicated in writing. The general public is distressed over the situation and is facing immense difficulties in procuring essential fuel. In contrast, the district administration and officials at the DM level are publicly claiming that there is no fuel shortage and are advising the public not to panic. He described this contradiction as a symbol of the government's insensitivity.
In his scathing critique, the former MLA criticized the government's priorities regarding national and international issues. He noted that, on one hand, global conditions remain volatile due to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Iran—a situation naturally bound to impact the country's economy. On the other hand, the priorities of the central leadership appear to be completely detached from the nation's grave domestic problems. Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister and the Home Minister's visits to Bengal, he remarked that while the country grapples with a fuel crisis and other fundamental challenges, the leaders entrusted with the reins of governance remain preoccupied with political rallies and electoral campaigning.
Ajit Kushwaha further added that in the current times, leaders of the ruling party often speak of preserving *Sanatan* culture, yet their actions remain contradictory. He remarked sarcastically that the manner in which public interests are being sidelined—with the sole emphasis placed on mere theatrics and manufacturing an electoral atmosphere—is truly unfortunate.
Ajit Kushwaha also expressed his concern regarding the plight of the nation's youth and other sections of society. He stated that today's youth—referred to as 'Gen Z'—is expending its energy on activities such as creating social media Reels, while the rest of society is so engrossed in its own problems and daily routines that it pays no heed to the deteriorating state of the country.
