BHABHUA------------------------Following instructions from the Bihar Police Headquarters in Patna and under the leadership of Superintendent of Police (SP) Shailendra Singh, a cyber awareness campaign was conducted on Tuesday across various colleges in the district as part of 'Cyber ​​Smart Tuesday.' The program aimed to raise awareness among students and teachers about rising cybercrimes and to provide information on preventive measures against online fraud. During the event, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Anushil Kumar, Cyber ​​DSP Ishani Sinha, and other police officials provided detailed information on various cybercrime methods, including online fraud, phishing, fake links, 'digital arrest,' OTP and banking fraud, and social media scams. They also advised participants not to trust unknown calls, messages, or links without verification and to refrain from sharing personal or banking-related information with anyone. They advised students that if they fall victim to cybercrime, they should immediately lodge a complaint via the 1930 helpline or the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal without wasting time, so that prompt action can be taken. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer stated that in today's digital era, awareness is the most effective means of protection against cybercrime. A little vigilance can prevent significant financial loss and mental distress. Do not trust any suspicious calls, links, or messages. If there is any suspicion of cyber fraud, immediately register a complaint on the 1930 helpline or the National Cybercrime Portal.
