SASARAM----------------------------A shocking incident came to light on Wednesday morning in Yogiyan village, under the jurisdiction of the Dinara police station in Rohtas district. According to reports, it is alleged that Ajit Tiwari, a local resident, summoned Chandreshwar Chaudhary—a laborer aged around 55—to his home, where he was shot following a dispute over wages. It is alleged that after the incident, the accused fled the scene with the body in his Tata Safari vehicle.

News of the incident sparked massive outrage in the village. Angry villagers set fire to the accused's house, destroying property worth lakhs of rupees, including a harvester and a tractor. Police arrived at the scene upon receiving the information but faced resistance and public fury.

To bring the situation under control, the Bikramganj DSP arrived at the site with police personnel from several stations. Later, observing the escalating situation, Rohtas Superintendent of Police (SP) Roshan Kumar also visited the scene to assess the circumstances.

According to available information, by the time this report was filed, the police had arrested the accused from an area near Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and a search operation involving the SDRF was underway in the canal to recover the victim's body. The police recovered a rifle from the scene; preliminary information suggests the shot was fired from this weapon, though a detailed investigation is ongoing. A tense atmosphere prevails in the village, and a large police force has been deployed as a precautionary measure. SP Roshan Kumar confirmed the arrest of the accused and stated that the SDRF was assisting in the search for the body in the canal.
