FESTIVE ATMOSPHERE AT Dr. K K MANDAL WOMEN’ COLLEGE

BUXAR--------------------------Teachers' Day celebrations were held with great fanfare and enthusiasm on Friday, September 5, at Dr. KK Mandal Women's College, located in the Naya Bazar area of ​​the city. The event, held in the college auditorium, commenced with the offering of floral tributes at the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan—the country's first Vice President, second President, and a renowned educationist.

The chief guest, College Secretary and former Buxar Sadar MLA Hriday Narayan Singh, along with special guest Chandeshwar Narayan and other dignitaries, paid their respects by offering floral tributes at Dr. Radhakrishnan's portrait. Subsequently, the chief guest, other dignitaries, and college faculty members celebrated Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary by cutting a cake. The event was presided over by the college's acting principal, Anil Kumar.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Hriday Narayan Singh elaborated on the significance of Teachers' Day. He remarked that Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was an exemplary teacher and a great educationist. He brought honor to the entire teaching community by ascending to the highest constitutional offices—such as Vice President and President—through the strength of his knowledge, education, and personality.

He stated that teachers play a pivotal role in building society and shaping the nation's future. A teacher's place in a student's life will always remain supreme and worthy of the utmost respect.

The program was jointly conducted by Prof. Ramadhar Singh, a senior faculty member of the Hindi Department, along with students Roshni Kumari and Riya Kumari. On this occasion, college students Sakshi Kumari, Nandani Verma, Sakshi Singh, Ruby Kumari, and Neha Kumari added a cultural touch to the event by performing a welcome song.

To mark Teachers' Day, the students honored all the college teachers and faculty members by presenting them with diaries and pens. Upon receiving this gesture of appreciation, the teachers expressed their gratitude to the students and wished them a bright future.

During the ceremony, students who had participated in the Premchand Jayanti program organized at the college were also felicitated. Chief Guest Hriday Narayan Singh awarded mementos to the participating students; the students showed great enthusiasm upon receiving their awards.

Faculty members present at the event included Prof. Paramhans Singh, Indramani Lal, Dhirendra Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Surendra Prasad Singh, Surendra Singh Yadav, Alpana Verma, Manorama Kumari, Jamil Akhtar, Pankaj Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Surya Narayan Singh, Akhilesh Kumar Sinha, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Ramnath Singh, along with other teachers and faculty members.

Among the students present were Ruby Kumari, Sakshi Singh, Sakshi Kumari, Kajal, Nandini, Palak, Ruchi, Anita, and others. A large number of female students, including Putul, participated in the ceremony. Throughout the event, an atmosphere of mutual respect, warmth, and enthusiasm prevailed between the teachers and the students on the college campus. The program concluded with the expression of gratitude towards the teachers.
