ARA----------------------------A large number of students, youths, and research scholars participated in the Student-Youth Parliament organized today by AISA and RYA at Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara.

Demands raised during the event included: dissolving the NTA; withdrawing the NEP 2020, the FYUP (Four-Year Undergraduate Programme), and the mandatory 7.5 CGPA requirement; ensuring equal degrees for all; halting the closure and merger of government schools; rectifying the dilapidated state of Bihar's government schools and upgrading them to the standards of Kendriya Vidyalayas; opposing the saffronization of schools, the curtailing of autonomy for undergraduate colleges, and exorbitant fee hikes in UG, PG, and PhD courses; banning outsourcing; ensuring dignified employment for all; providing a monthly unemployment allowance of ₹10,000 to all unemployed youth; holding the Samrat government accountable for its promises (specifically regarding the pledge of 10 million jobs); stopping contractual recruitment; withdrawing new PhD regulations; and immediately issuing the TRE-4 notification. A call was also made to intensify the movement against the poor condition of government educational institutions and the privatization of education.

The event was addressed by key speakers, including RYA National President Comrade Ajit Kushwaha, former AISA General Secretary Comrade Sandeep Saurabh, RYA State Secretary Comrade Shivprakash Ranjan, AISA State Secretary Comrade Dipankar Mishra, Comrade Amin, and AISA State President Comrade Dhananjay Kumar.

RYA National President Comrade Ajit Kushwaha stated that the crisis regarding education and employment in Bihar is continuously deepening. Paper leaks, examination irregularities, and the dismal state of government institutions have cast a shadow of uncertainty over the future of students and the youth. He stated that the movement regarding education and employment issues would be strengthened across Bihar through the 'Student-Youth Parliament' initiative.

Comrade Sandeep Saurabh, former General Secretary of AISA and a young MLA, remarked that the futures of lakhs of students are being jeopardized by persistent irregularities in the examination system and frequent paper leaks. Instead of suppressing the voices of students and youth raised against the NTA's arbitrary actions, the government should ensure accountability. He added that the privatization and commercialization of education constitute a conspiracy to exclude poor and marginalized students from the education system.

RYA State Secretary Comrade Shivprakash Ranjan highlighted that fee hikes and the lack of basic amenities—such as hostels, laboratories, and libraries—in Bihar's universities and colleges are matters of serious concern. He affirmed that the student-youth movement for dignified employment and quality education would be extended to every university and educational institution in the state.

AISA State Secretary Comrade Dipankar Mishra noted that private educational institutions are being promoted while government schools and higher education institutions languish in a state of neglect. He emphasized that it is the government's responsibility to ensure quality and affordable education for children from poor, Dalit, backward, and marginalized sections of society. He declared that the student-youth movement would be further expanded under the slogan "Save Education, Save the Future."

Comrade Amin stated that repressive measures are being employed to stifle the democratic demands and rights of students and youth. He asserted that the struggle for examination transparency, employment, and the right to education would continue, adding that the voices of students cannot be silenced by lathi-charges or repression.

AISA State President Comrade Dhananjay Kumar stated that education and employment are the most critical issues facing the students and youth of Bihar. He announced that the 'Student-Youth Parliament' campaign would be conducted across the state to protest against paper leaks, examination irregularities, fee hikes, the 7.5 CGPA barrier, and the dilapidated state of educational institutions. He appealed to the students and youth of Bihar to join this campaign in large numbers. The panel presiding over the program included AISA District Secretary Jaishankar, AISA District President Vikas, RYA District Secretary Niranjan, RYA District President Vishal, Anoop (AISA District President, Buxar), Akhilesh (AISA District Secretary, Buxar), Rajdev (RYA District Convener, Buxar), Veeran (RYA District Co-convener, Buxar), Rajesh (AISA District Convener, Rohtas), Manish (RYA leader, Kaimur), Muskan (AISA District Vice-President), Neetu (AISA State Vice-President), and Varsha (AISA leader).

A large number of students and youth were present at the event, including Roshan Kushwaha, Shivakant Baitha, Sahil Arora, Chandan Das, Sumit Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Anoop Kumar, Vivek Yadav, Sagar Paswan, Dipankar Kumar, Anand Kumar, Appu Yadav, Akhilesh Gupta, Nagendra Paswan, Ranjit Yadav, Kanhaiya Kumar, Dhanoj Kumar, Hansika, Sanskritma, Chhoti, and Vidya.
