PATNA-----------------------Politics has heated up in Patna following the suspicious death of a female NEET aspirant and the death of another student who fell from the roof of a coaching institute.

Politics has heated up in Patna following the suspicious death of a female NEET aspirant and the death of another student who fell from the roof of a coaching institute. As the opposition criticized the government, the government took strict action and issued a major administrative order. Accountability for all coaching institutes operating in Bihar will now be determined directly at the police station level. This directive, issued by the Bihar Police Headquarters, has created a stir throughout the education system.

The Crime Investigation Department (Weaker Sections Division) of the Bihar Police Headquarters has sent a strict letter to the Superintendents of Police of all districts, stating that complete details of every coaching institute operating in the state must be registered at the local police station. The respective station heads will be responsible for this. Clear instructions have been issued that no coaching institute will employ a teacher or staff member who has been convicted of moral turpitude or criminal offenses.

The government's message is clear: negligence or arbitrariness in the name of education will no longer be tolerated. Every coaching institute will be required to display its registration number at the main entrance. A biometric attendance system has been made mandatory for students and staff. High-quality HD cameras with a 30-day backup will also be installed at the entrance, corridors, and campus. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDPO) and Station House Officer (SHO) will regularly inspect these facilities.

Furthermore, it will be mandatory to immediately inform parents of absent students. Parents will also be required to receive information on mock test performance. Instructions have been given to establish a complaint box and an independent committee to address grievances, so that students can voice their concerns without fear.

If an institute provides transportation services, police verification of the driver and co-driver will be mandatory. In political circles, this is being described as part of the government's "zero tolerance" policy. Now it remains to be seen how much impact this strictness has on the ground reality and whether it really provides a new shield to the safety of the students.
