BUXAR---------------------------An advocate cum RJD leader who was returning from his sister's house in Bhadwar was shot by unknown criminals. His condition is critical. On receiving the information of the incident, his family took him to Patna for treatment where he has undergone a successful operation.
The incident took place in Bhadwar-Maniyaan canal road of Bagen police station area. The RJD leader has been identified as Dadan Azad, 50 years old, resident of Salasal village of Sonvarsha police station area. Dadan has previously contested the Zila Parishad election from Dumraon West 17 area of Dumraon block. According to the information received from the family, Dadan Azad was returning on his bike. At the same time, unknown criminals had blocked the road with a trolley dumping soil on the Bhadwar-Maniyaan canal. As soon as Dadan Azad reached there at 11:00 am on Wednesday, he was shot by criminals. He was shot above the waist. He is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Patna. Dumraon SDPO Afaque Akhtar Ansari said that the injured is out of danger. Prima facie, it was an attempt to break the bike. When the criminals tried to stop the bike, they did not stop, after which the criminals shot him. The bullet hit his side. The police is trying to identify the criminals.
