BUXAR--------------------------The program was organized under a statewide campaign, Congress expressed concern over the increasing crime and violence against women in Bihar. Congress, as part of its statewide campaign, staged a strong protest, siege and finally got arrested in Buxar against unemployment and migration in Bihar as well as increasing crime, robbery, murder, rape. This event has been organized across the state on the call of Bihar Pradesh Youth Congress. In the same sequence, the Youth Congress also staged a strong protest in Buxar district and surrounded the DM office. This Aakrosh March was led by Congress State General Secretary Pankaj Upadhyay. Congressmen coming out in the form of a procession from Kila Maidan were moving towards the Collectorate, but the district administration and police stopped them at Ambedkar Chowk. During this, the protesters raised strong slogans against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and accused the government of failure of law and order. The enthusiasm of the Congressmen involved in the demonstration was worth seeing. Seeing the situation going out of control, some Congress leaders were taken into custody by the city police station chief Manoj Kumar on the instructions of Zonal Officer Prashant Shandilya, deployed as a magistrate. However, everyone was released after a while.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Dr. Satyendra Ojha said that this demonstration was done as part of a statewide campaign. He said that our clear demand is that either the state government should give jobs to the youth or leave the throne. He said that now the Congress will struggle from the road to the House until the system changes in Bihar.

Many senior Congress leaders and hundreds of workers including Congress District President Manoj Pandey, District Youth Congress In-charge Ram Singh Chaudhary, Ashutosh Tripathi, Youth Congress Executive President Laxman Upadhyay, Alok Paswan participated in the Aakrosh March. The Youth Congress warned the government that if the failure to control crime continues, then further fierce agitation will be done.
