ARA-----------------------------A seminar on mental health was organized on Thursday at the Postgraduate Department of Psychology, Veer Kunwar Singh University. The session was presided over by Prof. Yashwant Kumar, Head of the Department of Psychology.

The keynote speaker, Prof. Satyagopal—a renowned psychologist from the Department of Psychology at DAV PG College, Banaras Hindu University—shared his insights on mental health. He explained that the journey of mental health is intrinsically linked to one’s life and the art of living.

Mental health encompasses the entire spectrum from mere survival to flourishing and thriving; it is not just about avoiding stress or illness, but about truly enjoying life.

The distinguished guest, Dr. Annapurna Gupta from the Department of Psychology at SVP College, Bhabhua (Kaimur), emphasized that maintaining a positive mental disposition is essential for good mental health, which requires specific positive mental training.

The event was moderated by Dr. Vachaspati Dubey. Attendees included Prof. Sangeeta Singh, Prof. Sadhana, Dr. Yasmeen, Dr. Vandana, Dr. Krishna Kumar, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Dr. Manish (Sociology), Dr. Prem Shankar, Dr. Sanjeev Ranjan, research scholars Santosh and Kajal, as well as various postgraduate students.
