ARA------------------------Jan Suraaj’s Dr. Divya Jyoti and RJD’s Dr. Sanjeev consistently claim they will defeat the BJP candidate, Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav; however, when tested against reality, these claims prove hollow. Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav is not someone who simply dropped from the sky; he is a candidate deeply rooted in the ground—not a mere vegetable to be easily chopped down. While Divya Jyoti and Dr. Sanjeev are like "monsoon frogs" that hop and croak only when the rains arrive, Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav lives and breathes for the cause of teachers. He first entered the electoral fray in 1996 on an RJD ticket, facing off against the Congress stalwart Prof. P.N. Sharma, whom he defeated soundly. In the second election, he clashed with P.N. Sharma’s son and defeated him decisively. In the third election, he battled Nitish Kumar’s close associate, Janardan Prasad Singh, and won a resounding victory. In the fourth election, he heavily defeated RJD’s Narayan Yadav. In essence, he secured five magnificent victories by defeating political heavyweights. There is no need to explain *why* he won; Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav has forged a bond of unbreakable trust with teachers. He has always shared in their joys and sorrows, establishing a familial relationship where teachers are an integral part of his own family. Amidst all this, he accomplished unprecedented, historic, and unforgettable work: he succeeded in bringing about major amendments to the education policy regarding "finance-less" (unaided) teachers—a policy that had been a source of stigma for 44 years. The government yielded to his persistent demands and pressure, announcing a new pay scale for these unaided teachers and non-teaching staff—a truly historic achievement. Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav is a sensitive and serious leader who has fought round-the-clock—from the streets to the legislative house—for the honor, dignity, and rights of teachers, even going so far as to open a public front against his own government; the very idea that teachers would suddenly abandon such a leader is unimaginable. It is not merely futile but utterly absurd to even consider anyone else; Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav was, is, and will remain the universally acknowledged leader of the teachers. Dr. Divya Jyoti and Dr. Sanjeev may make whatever claims they wish before the election, but everyone knows what the outcome will be; the only real topic left for discussion is whose security deposit will be forfeited.
