SASARAM------------------------Dalmianagar’s historic sports ground, once bustling with the activity of national-level athletes, is currently in a state of disrepair. Maintenance of the ground ceased after the closure of the Rohtas Industries Group, and recent continuous rains have further ruined its condition.
According to locals, hundreds of elderly people, women, and children visit the ground for walks in the morning and evening. Many young men and women also run here to prepare for police and army recruitment exams, striving to build their futures.
However, large potholes have formed across the ground, and waterlogging in various spots has made it difficult to even walk around. Children used to play cricket and football here in the mornings, but sports activities have completely stopped due to the ground's poor condition. Residents have urged the district administration to urgently renovate and level the ground so that sports and training activities for the youth can resume.
