No Eligible Citizen Should Miss Voting Rights, Says UP Dy CM Maurya in Badaun, Maurya Flags Accuracy of Electoral Rolls, Orders Time-Bound Disposal of Public Grievances
Calls for Strengthening Booth-Level Network; Reviews Development, Law & Order with District Officials, Deputy CM Inspects Medical College, Targets Opposition; SIT Formed in Codeine Syrup Case.
Badaun (UP), Dec 10(RNI) : Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday said that no eligible citizen should be deprived of voting rights and called for strengthening booth-level activities to ensure the success of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) drive. He urged BJP workers to reach every household and turn the campaign into a mass movement.
Addressing a meeting under the SSR campaign at the BJP office, Maurya said that the accuracy of the electoral roll is essential for free and fair elections. He added that the BJP functions on the strength of ideology, organisation and committed workers who are continuously informing the public about development works led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
District in-charge Dr. Dinesh Sharma and District President Rajeev Kumar Gupta also addressed the meeting, emphasising grassroots mobilisation and ensuring that every eligible voter is duly registered.
Maurya reviews development, law-and-order with officials
At a high-level review meeting at the Collectorate, Maurya directed officials to ensure timely and quality disposal of public grievances. He said illegal encroachments on chak roads and government land must be removed through special drives.
The Deputy CM reviewed progress in paddy procurement, fertiliser availability, ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ scheme, school uniform distribution, self-help groups, transformer replacement and Amrit Sarovar works.
He instructed officials to inspect at least 10 Gram Sabhas per block where drinking water supply is functional, and to ensure that stray cattle are not seen on roads. He also stressed proper beneficiary identification in PM and CM Awas Yojana.
Officials informed Maurya that Ambiyapur Block has secured the second position nationally under the Delta Ranking of Aspirational Blocks. He felicitated the Block Development Officer and team members.
Maurya said women empowerment, employment generation and welfare schemes are being effectively implemented in the state. He added that Uttar Pradesh holds immense potential for tourism development.

Deputy CM inspects Government Medical College
Maurya inspected the Government Medical College and reviewed faculty availability, teaching arrangements and ongoing construction works. Agencies were directed to expedite all pending works within deadlines. Officials informed that the Nursing College building will be completed by January 2026.

Maurya targets opposition in press briefing
During a press conference at the Collectorate, Maurya termed the Samajwadi Party’s PDA formula “fake” and said it stands for “Parivar Development Agency”. He claimed the SP will be wiped out in the 2027 Assembly elections.
On the codeine cough syrup issue, he said an SIT has been constituted and results will be revealed soon.
