Intercity Express to Get New Rake, Kasganj Extension Soon
Bareilly /Budaun/Kasganj (RNI)The 14315-16 Bareilly–Delhi Intercity Express is set to receive a new AC chair car rake, paving the way for its long-planned extension via Budaun to Kasganj. Railway officials have initiated the process at the divisional level.
The train is currently operated with ageing ICF coaches, frequently facing technical issues. Shortage of chair car coaches has often forced the Railways to attach sleeper and general coaches, causing inconvenience and protests by passengers.
Senior DCM Aditya Gupta said that the allocation process for a new rake is underway and services from Kasganj will begin soon after it is received.
