BUXAR--------------------------Under the joint aegis of the Department of Social Welfare and the Department of Health, a free eye check-up camp and a free spectacle distribution program are being conducted at the Buniyad Center as part of the 'Saksham' scheme. This camp, which commenced on April 6, will continue until May 5; every day, a large number of people are visiting the center to get their eyes examined.
Providing details regarding the initiative, Sandeep Kumar, the District Coordinator for the Vision Center, stated that free spectacles have already been distributed to hundreds of beneficiaries so far, while approximately 600 individuals have been identified as requiring spectacles.
Eye specialists present at the camp are examining the eyes of the elderly, women, and children, while also providing them with necessary medical advice. Additionally, efforts are being made to raise public awareness regarding eye care and the importance of maintaining good eye health.
