FIRE SAFETY WEEK AWARENESS CAMPAING IN DUMRAON

BUXAR---------------------------On the fifth day of Fire Safety Week, an awareness program aimed at preventing fire incidents in rural areas was organized within the jurisdiction of the Dumraon Fire Station in the district. At the Nandan Panchayat Bhawan, Sub-Divisional Fire Officer Shikha Kumari and Fire Brigade personnel joined hands with *Mukhiya* (Village Head) Ramji Singh Yadav, Ward Members, and local villagers to conduct a public awareness drive.

During the program, villagers were provided with several important tips on fire safety. Officials emphasized the necessity of applying a mud plaster to thatched-roof houses, keeping a bucket filled with water close at hand while cooking, and ensuring that the fire in the stove is completely extinguished after meals. Furthermore,

villagers were advised to prepare their morning meals before 9:00 AM and their evening meals after 6:00 PM to minimize the risk of fire spreading during periods of strong winds.

Sub-Divisional Fire Officer Shikha Kumari appealed to farmers to refrain from burning crop stubble in their fields. She stated that if anyone is found deliberately burning stubble, the matter should be reported to the administration immediately so that appropriate legal action can be taken against such anti-social elements. The villagers present at the event also pledged to remain vigilant regarding fire safety and to strictly adhere to the preventive measures outlined during the program.
